The Kavad is a centuries-old portable shrine used by traditional storytellers known as Kavadiya Bhats. As each door opens, different episodes of the sacred narrative are revealed, creating a unique blend of visual art, craftsmanship, and oral storytelling. It is considered one of Rajasthan's most distinctive folk-art traditions.
